Puma is paying tribute to a devout fan and artist Rob L with a limited release of two pairs of Puma Clydes that feature his signatory “Archipelago” pattern on the upper of the shoes. Rob L, who has been buying and customizing Puma’s since the late 1980s, has long been a contributing member to the UK based sneaker site Crooked Tongues where he frequently would update heads with his latest work, tips, and tricks to his work. It was there that his work started catching buzz and word began to spread around other sneaker sites and eventually to Puma’s offices.
This Saturday, June 21st, the Rob L x Puma Clydes will release to top tiered Puma retailers limited to only 500 pairs per color worldwide. Check out more photos of the shoes after the jump and stay tuned for a Nice Kicks exclusive feature on the shoes coming soon.
